Kathryn Martin Miller, M.S., M.Ed., LMFT

I have recently joined the staff at The Inner-View and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree in both Mental Health Counseling and Family Development. During my clinical training, I worked at the Archdiocese of Louisville as a school counselor for Saint Leonard’s and Saint Mary Academy, and also as a counselor for the Family Ministry Office of the Archdiocese.

During this time I had the opportunity to work with many children and parents dealing with the typical challenges of grade school as well as some more intense challenges such as parent deployment, death of a parent, homosexuality, and multiple step-parents. I also had the opportunity to work with groups of children on issues including bullying, cyber-bullying, appropriate use of social media, social relations and boundaries, and drugs and alcohol. As a counselor, my passion is helping children navigate difficult developmental challenges and helping parents to better understand and address their children’s developmental needs.

In addition to my training, I believe my personal experiences as a mother contribute to my understanding and effectiveness as a counselor. My husband and I have been married for 27 years and we have four daughters and a son ages 25, 24, 22, 20 and 17. Our daughters graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and Assumption High School and our son is a junior at St. Xavier High School. Our three oldest daughters graduated from the University of Dayton, Vanderbilt University and Indiana University, respectively, and our fourth daughter is a sophomore at the University of Mississippi.
